Clare Walks Ltd. oversees’ the maintenance and general upkeep of the East Clare Way and Mid Clare Way long distance walking routes to ensure that they remain an accessible amenity to the general public and tourists alike. The walking routes are regularly inspected by Sports Ireland/National Trails to ensure they are maintained to insurable standards. If they are not maintained to a satisfactory level, the walking routes could potentially face closure.
Clare Walks Ltd. oversees a CE scheme which provides the operatives to carry out maintenance work. However, as a voluntary, not for profit organisaiton, we rely solely on fundraising and peoples generosity to manage and provide equipment and goods for the maintenance work.
We would like to say a huge thanks to all those who have contributed towards the maintenance and upkeep of the walking trails, which are some of the most scenic routes in Clare and pass through many quaint villages and bustling towns, taking in stunning views and many historical sites along the way.
If you would like to contribute towards the maintenance and future upkeep of these walking trails, please contact us.
